Bicycle OverHaul Class This is a 4-session class, 2 hours per session Bring your bicycle, bicycle stays at Trailhead for the duration of class. Class tuition includes Park Tool Big Blue Book of Repair. Class size is limited to two students. Class ratio is 2 students to 1 instructor. During this class you will: Remove wheels, true and balance, overhaul hub Remove cranks and bottom bracket, overhaul Remove fork and overhaul headset Remove cassette, chain, rear derailleur Clean all these parts Reinstall all these parts All adjustments and tension settings set to spec Complete safety check Typically during an Overhaul cables and housing are replaced (to give the bike that like new shift/brake experience). You may need new bearings and or bottom bracket. Bearing races will be inspected and replaced if necessary. Chain, cassette and chain rings will be inspected and replaced if necessary. Most often on road bikes the bar tape will need to be replaced after replacing housing and cables. Any parts needed are extra. Applicable sales tax is added to price of parts and Park Tool Big Blue Book of Bike Repair. Class attendees are required to wear closed toe shoes, work ready clothing and safety glasses. If you do not have safety glasses they can be purchased at Trailhead for $15. Class size is limited to 2 students per instructor. This class is not designed for an electric bike or a bike with electronic shifting.

Park Tool School Drive Train Cleaning Class A clean drive train shifts better! This is a hands-on, bring your own bike class. This is a two hour class. Class tuition includes: Park Tool Chain Gang Cleaner Set Park Tool Dummy Hub Hands-on instruction and use of our solvent tanks and tools. Your drivetrain (chain, cassette, derailleurs and chain rings) get filthy. Keeping these parts clean extends the life of your drivetrain. In this class you will: clean your chain on the bike you bring (using your Park Tool Chain Scrubber and dummy hub) Remove and clean the cassette, clean the rear derailleur, and clean the chain rings. If you have a multi-chainring bike (2 or 3 chainrings) we will show you how to remove the cranks and clean them. One-by bikes can usually be cleaned without removing the chainrings. Wheel Truing Class This is a hands-on class, bring your wheel set. This is a one-session two hour class. Included in tuition is a Park Tool SW1.2 truing wrench. What you will learn: Spoke tension true and balance rim removing rotor, cassette replacing broken spoke Wheel truing is an art form! Don't get frustrated; get educated! Our master wheel builders will help you understand how wheels work and what it takes to keep them true. Class size is limited to 2 students per instructor. Any parts needed are extra. Hydraulic brake systems need occasional fluid change and bleeding with new fluid even if braking is good and there is no air in the system. With use, dirt and moisture will creep past seals and contaminate your brake fluid. Fluid change interval by bleeding is once a year. This class is designed for Shimano Mountain Bike Hydraulic Brakes. In this class you will bleed your brakes, learn about maintenance of your braking system. This is a two hour class, attendee brings their own bike for the bleeding process. Class tuition includes the Park Tool Mineral Oil BKM1.2 Hydraulic Brake Bleed Kit. Bring your bike, you will use your new kit in this class. You will have this kit for years and having it along with learning the skill of bleeding your brakes will save you money and time. Class size is 2 attendees per instructor Any parts needed are extra. Applicable sales tax is added to price of parts and Park Tool Mineral Oil Bleed Kit. Price of class includes: personalized instruction, Park Tool Mineral Oil Bleed Kit and Shimano Mineral Oil. Park Tool School Tune Up Class Class tuition includes: 2 sessions 2 hours each Park Tool Big Blue Book of Bike Repair This is a hands-on class where you will learn to tune up your own bicycle. This includes: removing, truing and balancing wheels, adjusting wheel cones. Adjust headset cones, tighten BB and pedals, straighten derailleur hanger. Learn how to adjust your derailleurs and brakes. properly lubricate a chain and perform a complete safety check. Any parts needed are extra. Applicable sales tax is added to price of parts and Park Tool Big Blue Book of Bike Repair. Class attendees are required to wear closed toe shoes, work ready clothing and safety glasses.
