Bicycle OverHaul Class CHAMPLIN This is a 4-session class, 2 hours per session January 15,16,22 and 23 4-6pm OR January 11,12,18,19 1-3 pm Bring your bicycle, bicycle stays at Trailhead for the duration of class. Class tuition includes Park Tool Big Blue Book of Repair. Class size is limited to two students. Class ratio is 2 students to 1 instructor. During this class you will: Remove wheels, true and balance, overhaul hub Remove cranks and bottom bracket, overhaul Remove fork and overhaul headset Remove cassette, chain, rear derailleur Clean all these parts Reinstall all these parts All adjustments and tension settings set to spec Complete safety check Typically during an Overhaul cables and housing are replaced (to give the bike that like new shift/brake experience). You may need new bearings and or bottom bracket. Bearing races will be inspected and replaced if necessary. Chain, cassette and chain rings will be inspected and replaced if necessary. Most often on road bikes the bar tape will need to be replaced after replacing housing and cables. Any parts needed are extra. Applicable sales tax is added to price of parts and Park Tool Big Blue Book of Bike Repair. Class attendees are required to wear closed toe shoes, work ready clothing and safety glasses. If you do not have safety glasses they can be purchased at Trailhead for $15. Class size is limited to 2 students per instructor. This class is not designed for an electric bike or a bike with electronic shifting.
